Flora Guan

I am a high school student deeply committed to building a society that actively embraces every kind of voice and experience through action and creative expression. As the founder of the “Love Surpasses Every Barrier” initiative, I organize accessibility workshops and city walks that bring together disabled and non-disabled youth. My independent research on Beijing’s street accessibility uses spatial analysis to expose urban inequities and support accessible urban planning strategies. Dance has also shaped my perspective, enabling me to communicate beyond words and approach social issues with empathy and interdisciplinary insight. I strive to create connection—whether through maps, movement, or dialogue—to create a world where everyone belongs.
